PB Funds

2024 - 2025 PB Fund Requests

If your graduate student organization receives Pro-Rated Benefits (PB) Funds from GPSA as a source of funding for your organization, please see below.

In order to receive pro-rated benefits, each Registered Departmental Student Association must request through SGAO each semester.

PB Funds must be requested by the eighth Friday of the fall and spring semesters respectively. PB Funds not requested within the semester will be forfeited.

This means you MUST submit your PB Funds request to SGAO no later than Friday, October 11th, 2024 for the Fall 2024 distribution, and Friday, March 14, 2025 for the Spring 2025 distribution.


Requesting PB Funds

  1. Charter your organization with the Student Activities Center, Room 1018, in the Student Union Building.Your RDSA's charter must be renewed each year. Generally, organizations do this at the beginning of fall semester. Only officers listed on an RDSA charter can request PB funds. Make sure to keep your department up to date! Contact the SAC (277-4706) for questions regarding your RDSA's charter.

  2. Review a SGAO PB Fund workshop and complete a brief quiz. You must use a valid UNM email address AND score 100% on the quiz to gain access to your funds.

  3. Email the following information to sgao@unm.edu to submit your application. Other comments may be included at your discretion.

    • Organization name
    • SINGLE academic department
    • Contact information of an officer in the organization
    • SGAO Index Number
    • The estimated number of students enrolled in your department


Once your enrollment numbers have been verified with the Official Enrollment Report from the Registrar’s Office, your funds will be transferred.
